Pure Irish CBD Oil

Made using CBD isolate extract to be 100% sure it’s THC free.
This is important for the athletes we supply who are drugs tested (WADA continues to list THC as a banned substance). At Boyd’s CBD, we use MCT oil (from coconut and palm), which the body quickly absorbs, like a carbohydrate, increasing bio availability.

I have a heavy training and racing load, combined with shift work, poor sleeping patterns and numerous injuries. I find Boyd’s CBD oil not only helped me to shut off and get to sleep more regularly, it also helped my chronic back pain and some other inflammatory issues I was having.

Sleeping better than I have for many years, stress levels are considerably reduced and everyday life is a lot more chilled. As a bodybuilder, my joints have taken a pounding and I have found the CBD oil helps with reducing pain levels in those areas. Fantastic product and great people to deal with.

I have been using Boyd’s CBD oil for the past six months and can safely say it has impressed me more than any other supplement I have used. When I met gwyn at the Irish Muscle Power expo, he guided me on how to use it. After 3 days, yes… 3 days I slept better than I had in I don’t know when.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is 100% legal. You are legally allowed to have a very small amount of THC in your products. However we choose to provide 100% THC free products as many of the people who use our products are athletes and they want to be sure they’re not going to fail any drugs tests.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the many components of cannabis. It interacts with your body’s endocannabinoid system by binding with that system’s receptors. CB1 receptors are found in your central nervous system, while CB2 receptors are more often found in your immue cells, your digestive system and some in your peripheral nervous systems.
Absolutely not. Tetrahydrocannabinols (THC) is the pyschoactive part of the cannabis plant which binds with the CB1 receptors in your central nervous system and which can have potent effects. CBD was originally believed to bind more with CB2 receptors and, therefore, more of your physiological functions. However, more recent research suggests it may also direct the body to use more of its own naturally occuring cannabinoids.

CBD really doesn’t “cure” anything. Fundamentally, CBD can be effectively used to help manage exercise-induced inflammation, chronic inflammation and stress-related issues such as psoriasis, diabetes, insomnia, etc. Even the most moderate dose of CBD can improve sleep. CBD is believed to work more as a regulator for our sleep cycles, so that we feel more alert during the day, but sleep more soundly at night. CBD can also help regulate levels of cortisol and insulin levels, which can help with regulating diet and diabetes.

We strongly recommend a titration method (finding how much is needed by carefully increasing substance concentration) approach to CBD. Anyone new to CBD should start with the lowest dose they can. This is usually means one or two doses of 3-4mg a day (equal to one milliliter dropper of our 100mg CBD oil). A week at this dosage should reestablish natural levels and a base-point from which you can safely increase your dosage by doubling the amount every week until you are at a level of relief you find satisfactory. This is the only way for you to be sure of your dosage in a manner that allows for absorption, bio-availability, metabolic rate and the specific issue you are attempting  to manage.

Full spectrum CBD oils are usually made from the full cannabis plant and contain  a number of other cannabis compounds, including THC (limited by law to 0.2%) and terpenes dissolved in a hemp oil. Depending on what you are looking to achieve, full spectrum CBD could be more effective for you due to what is referred to as the entourage effect, whereby many of the compounds can help improve the efficiency of CBD. Some may, however, have a negative effect on those taking it. Oils, like Boyd’s, which are made using an isolate extracted from the cannabis plant, usually have no THC or other compounds. This decision is made so that customers can be 100% sure that the product contains no THC, etc., This is the particularly important for athletes we supply who are drugs tested (WADA no longer lists CBD as a banned substance, but continues to list THC). Using a CBD isolate also allows producers concentrateon methods to increase bioavailability.  At Boyd’s, we use MCT oil (medium chain triglyceride) from coconut and palm, which the body absords quickly, like a carbohydrate, rather than having to pass through the digestive system like other oils which lowers bioavailability

Full spectrum oils tend to quote percentages are overly complicated and often vague. Often the quoted percentage refers to the original base extract before dilution. With isolates, such as Boyd’s, miligrams per bottle can be used which allow you to easily calculate the amount per millilitre and therefore, your exact dose.
